Professionalism at home

Isn't it strange we smile at strangers, hold doors for people we don't know, be courteous or apologize easily to someone we have never met and then we come back home and get upset at our own loved ones? Why is it that our tolerance with our own is so low, when was the last time we held doors, did not find faults, were patient and courteous and said an honest sorry to our loved ones. Isn't it time we developed professionalism at home??

Hi good point,

we tend to expect lot from loved ones! we want them to be perfect...and strangers will always be stranger! one of things i have observed over the years is closer u get to a person...there are qualities u will not like in them! and u`ll always make them change for you...its not possible we r humans...Professionalism concept only applies to strangers or with people with minmal interaction....it will work only if u can ignore those negative things and look at the positive things...if anyone can do that and u r professional everywhere u go!

Thanks
KP

Deepa, that is an excellent point that you have made. I think by default we tend to take loved ones for granted. For so many years I would for some wierd reason be super courteous to strangers but be moody or impatient with my own family. Things began to change few years back and now I am learning to lean on the Grace of God and His love to help me give love. You know the most mind opening was when I realized that love is a decision and not really something one feels or gets emotionally led.
